Hello! I'm Samyah

I am a fourth year student completing my Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at Ontario Tech University studying Health Science with a specialization in Public Health. I am currently working as an Employment Peer Coach at Ontario Tech University, assisting students with their career-related concerns. My interest in public health stems from the idea of pursuing a career in a rewarding field that allows me to help others while also experiencing new things every day. I am passionate about helping those in need and creating a positive change in the world and hope to create sustainable ways to help vulnerable communities enhance their quality of life. I am also the President of Islamic Relief at Ontario Tech under Islamic Relief Canada, an international humanitarian aid and development charity that works to end poverty and disease. Following my undergraduate degree, I aim to pursue a Masters Degree in the area of public and global health. I hope to pursue a career in the non-profit sector doing field work, serving the community and helping to create more sustainable ways of living.
